The principle of general education aims for “holistic education,” and therefore circle is used as the basic shape of the logo. The outer circle features sections in rainbow colors, representing the six fundamental qualities of UTaipei’s general education, while also manifesting the diversity and inclusiveness of general education. The gaps between the sections symbolize imperfections, and that interdisciplinary learning is needed for self-improvement. The warm and sturdy grey text displays the harmony and balance of general education that focuses on all domains; icons of book and electrocardiogram embody the lifelong-learning spirit of “to live needs to learn.”
